Rotaract Club of Bhaktapur actively participated in Nationwide Blood donation program initiated by Rotaract Nepal on 15th November 2014, Saturday. The blood donation camp was placed by Rotaract clubs in different places of Nepal in the memory of Late Rotractor Sachin. Rotaractors of RC Bhaktapur and other volunteers fully indulged in the camp that started at an early hour of Saturday around 9 am. Great number of interested donors thronged into the camp to support the Nobel work, among 153 interested candidates only 89 of them were capable of donating. While the blood donation was carried out under the expert supervision of trained personnel from Redcross Bhaktapur, Medical students from KMC were present at the site for consultancy and Dr. Monita Dhaubanjar a member of Rotaract Club of Bhaktapur was available for the emergency. Among 89 donors 66 were male and 23 were female and total of 89 pints of blood were collected during the 3 hour long camp. The donors were provided with a heavy breakfast comprising ( Banana, Samosa, muffin, eggs and fruit juice) to avoid weakness and casualties. The food was sponsored by Mount Valley School of Bhaktapur and Rotaract District 3292. All the donors were also provided with an appreciation certificate. The program was very much managed and well appreciated by everyone. The 89 pints of blood collected are handed over to Redcross Blood Bank as a small effort to save lives.The programme was co-ordinated by Rtr Prabhat Raj Rai, Rtr Aashib Karmacharya and Rtr Rabi Gorkhali.
